ACTING WORKSHOPS AT THE NATIONAL THEATRE

Educational Workshops at the National Theatre are designed to support the study of Drama, English and Theatre Studies at KS3, KS4 and Post-16. Sessions focus on a current or recent NT production and in a very practical way consider how a performance is developed.

Each workshop will explore voice, physicality and text interpretation and consider how a director and actor would work together at the National Theatre to create a performance. Students are encouraged to consider a performance from both the actor’s and the director’s point of view.

NT Workshops used to be held off-site in nearby premises. However, following the recent redevelopment of parts of the National Theatre workshops are usually held in the Clore Learning Centre now an integral part of the NT complex.

LTT Groups can experience Workshops at the NATIONAL THEATRE whether or not seeing a production there.
