ROYAL SHAKESPEARE THEATRE

This is the RSC’s main theatre standing alongside the River Avon and holding just over a thousand people. It re-opened in 2010 following a three year refit and still retains some of the art deco features from the original 1932 theatre. It is a relatively intimate theatre with its thrust stage and the audience seated on three sides. Ticket demand from schools and tourists as well as local people is usually high and early booking is always recommended.
